We all have little things in the kitchen that we use without a thought, but someone else might find these things useful too. They don't have to be life changing - just something you find helpful in the kitchen. If this has been done before, it's been long enough that I have forgotten. But the older I get, the shorter my memory is, (amongst other things...
).
I'll start off with two things that we use frequently:
Almost every time I cook something that might boil over, I grab my Kochblume. It contains the foamy stuff that normally drips down the side of a pot preventing a big mess. (Cheaper ones have become available since I bought mine.)

I found these shakers on Amazon looking for some that would shake or pour. Nothin' super special about these, but they get the job done. The top has four positions: closed, pour, fine shake and course shake. It does a good job with kosher salt.
