Thanks to Home Depot and Amazon, I’ve managed to collect a few small conveniences that probably aren’t ever going to get their own review category here, but I figured I’d share some of mine and see what I can learn from the rest of the community.
I keep my smoker in the garage - avoids weather and bears. So I roll out to the driveway pad when it’s time to smoke.
I’ve got a pair of small folding work tables from Home Depot - one of them is always next to the smoker for water and chip refills, among other things.
Bought a six pack of quarter sheet sized metal pans, originally because they fit in the toaster oven, but they’ve become my go-to for carrying any food to or from the smoker. One pan is roughly one shelf, so they also help with space planning.
Have a few magnetic hooks on the smoker and the garage fridge - they hold tongs and temp probe wires.
A stack of 2 gallon paint buckets holds all of my various wood chips. Got tired of the plastic bags tearing and spilling all over the garage so I bought a few and wrote the wood type on the rim with a sharpie.
Lastly, a painter’s box of white paper towels is always in the garage and usually on the table next to the smoker - heavy duty and very handy.
What little things make your cooks easier?
