Where to buy churrasco (Brazilian) skewers?

I see a lot of expenses options. Dies anyone know where to get more affordable ones?

What do you consider affordable. Williams Sonoma has 13” ones on sale for $30. Amazon has 23” ones, 6 each for $27. Seems like quite a few in that price range.

I bought some German made skewers on Ebay and they are nice, good quality.

I was looking to replicate the Armenian style kabob cooking I learned to do while in the Peace Corps and found some 3/4" wide, 15 gauge skewers that are almost 24" long. Look for the vendor named "mangalgrills". They sell a variety of widths and lengths in different packages.

Ebay was my best bet. The ones I found are quality, stainless steel. Thick. You may have to modify your kettle if you want something that can span 26", or you'll have to pay for some quality custom skewers made by a place like norcalovenworks. They sell 30" skewers at 6 for $48.

Troutman That's basically what I bought (looks like the same vendor) except mine where thicker than those. The ones below are 1 cm wide and the skewers I purchased were closer to 2 cm. You need the width for ground meat kabobs, and it helps to stabilize chunks of meat (especially when your skewer is 18 to 23 inches long).

Good stuff there. Makes me want to make a Churrasco Rack for the 26. On the other hand, it's probably overkill for me.

These things are great. I got rained out tonight so I had to serve dinner inside which meant I had to keep going out to cut more meat off the churrasco. I need to do a big cook sometime this fall.
