I want something like this for tailgating... something flame-resistant or flame-proof that I can put my hibachi or smokey Joe on without worry about it burning. Cooking with those dudes on the ground isn't acceptable for my knees and back. Previously, I've used a cheap camp table that has a thin metal-like surface over particle board... which will ward off embers and maybe one dropped briquette for a few seconds, but it won't resist a lot of heat. This would be ideal.
