    Cutting boards and serving trays.

I had a bunch of Maple board cutoffs made available to me and I have been wanting to make a few end grain cutting boards for a while so I took that as a sign and got to work. With the leftovers I also made a few serving trays with kiln baked poplar (dark strips) and oak. I had enough to make a set for me and my son as he is also getting into grilling. Fun project.

I didn't notice any issue with cutting. I did notice that my small planer was having difficulty moving the material through it. The drive drums were slipping on the wood so had to continually 'push or pull the material to keep it moving.

Lol, I don't think anyone would want to pay what I would have to charge as it took me a long time! When you do it for yourself it is a labour of love kinda thing...

Barry Friesen Oh I get it. Just pointing out that they are beautiful. Along the same lines, prepping a brisket and getting up at 4am to cook one and stoking a fire all day comes to mind- I would charge someone $300 for my time for such a task but I do it for myself & loved ones for free as a labor of love!
