I don't have much to add along the insulating loss, but did want to mention that we hand wash our yeti/rtic/etc cups. I don't know why we didn't do this before, but if you don't remove that gasket and clean behind it, I would start now. I was shocked at the gunk/funk built up behind it. Just a friendly head's up.

Yeti Tumblers Losing Their Insulating Ability Over Time?

I use mine every day and I love it. I will say that the newer ones don't seem to seal as well. I bought my wife a replacement with the mag-slider and it leaked right from the beginning. Yeti did replace the lid and the new one is much better. As for keeping things cold, I'm about a year and a half in on mine and it's still working well.

Never experienced it. Two of my ramblers are 4 years old and still keep ice for over 24 hours. I myself stick with Yeti as they have always done me right, and I prefer to stick with a product that is both the innovator as well as made in the USA. Mr. Bones I DO still use my Stanly aladan (original when they were still USA made) that belonged to my dad daily.

With all this mention of the Aladdin Stanley thermos, I thought I'd dig mine out. Bought this one in about 1974, made the handle in my fab shop and used it for about 25 years. I had such a great attachment to it, like and old friend, that I couldn't bear to part with it. Dug it out of the back of a closet. I know that doesn't solve the Rambler problem but this thing was the true forerunner of the Yeti design, still holds liquid piping hot....
