    Jet/Torch lighter suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a "windproof" jet lighter? I have had a run of bad luck with them lately.

I have been pleased with this one so far https://www.jjgeorgestore.com/grill-...rcoal-starter/

Are you trying to light a stick burner? I start my sticks with a chimney or so of charcoal. Works great!

I'm just lighting a chimney. So it doesn't have to be too involved. My most recent is one of those cigar jet lighters. But it can be finicky.

I use a Weed Torch on my extra LP Tank. Charcoal is lit in 1 minute or less. I use it all the time in the BGE and/or the Starter Chimney. Never fails.

I use one of these to sear my steaks after cooking them sous vide. Works like a charm! Also use the Bernzomatic 8000 listed below for starting some things - works well for pellet tubes for cold smoking.

go to your home center and get a map torch (propane works too). Problem solved.

This is the best I have found. It burns really hot, in a small space. Gets the BGE fired right up. LFG

              Benzomatic TS8000
