Let me apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but I just purchased a used Weber Genesis E-330 for a really reasonable price. I need to replace the rusty cast iron grates and am considering the Grill Grates. Will they work with the Sear Station or would the concentration of 3 burners in that tight of an area be hard on the aluminum grates?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts & have a great day.

If it fits it ships. Honestly I think they go on top of your normal grates but I really don't know. I'm sure some one smarter than me will be along shortly.
I wanted to reply because the name of your city is a stop on a lot of my packages I order and track.
No problem. I do it every time. Turn them all on high and sear that steak for a wonderful sear experience. You can order grillgrates to perfectly fit your Weber. I suggest only covering half the grill with them so you still get the convection experience. Use a replacement Weber grate on the other half to let the heat circulate through. I cook the steaks on the indirect side until they are about 110 and then reverse sear on the grillgrate side. Very nice sear marks.

I use GG on top of my regular grates on my Weber Genesis Gasser. Usually I flip them over and grill burgers or onions and peppers on the back side. The grill set to medium gives plenty of heat for this type of grilling. IMO they really amp up the heat and get a "Seasoning" after several uses.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I replaced my Genesis grates with Grillgrates and love them. My dad has a sear burner on his Spirit E-330, and also did a full replacement set of Grillgrates, and seems to have no issues with using his sear burner. It just gets hotter on that end of the grates obviously.
I don't think you will have any problems, and highly recommend them. It eliminates flareups, you can flip them over to use as a griddle type surface, and they just in general have made my Genesis into a much better cooker.
I have a Genesis S-330 with the sear station and have found I don't need to have my burners full bore to get a good sear. I've been leery about going full bore as GrillGrates claim they run about 100-200 degrees F hotter at the grate level compared to standard grates. I don't recall the details, but I believe Meathead wrote on here somewhere that he actually warped his GrillGrates.
I use Grill Grates in my Yoder Cimarron as the ash baffle and as a searing station right above the pellet-fire. That fire is super hot and I rotate out a couple of sets of long GG and have seen no warpage!
I was leaning towards getting Grill
Grates. Now that I had heard of your first
hand experiences, I am full
on getting my order placed! Thanks you for all of your insights!
I researched the heck out of this when I got my new Spirit II E-310 gasser. Ended up replacing the original grates completely. Mine uses 4 panels and the narrow piece if I want to cover the whole grill with just about 1/3 inch on each side open. When I do 2 zone cooking (like my 1st smoked turkey last month) I remove the narrow piece to separate the grill grates. The GrillGrates are awesome. I no longer have to do any burnoffs! I think I got an email from them saying 15% off right now. Check the website.
Check to see if they have any manufacturer seconds! Work just as well and much lower price.
This is a brilliant idea for gassers and kettles. My research led me to build a custom reverse flow smoker for the very reason that these Grillgrates add to your kettle. With a normal kettle the grease drops into the fire, flares up or drops into the side with no coals if S & S'ing. A reverse smoker allows all juices and fat to be vaporized as smoke onto the meat adding a rich flavor that can only be produced from the smoke and that is what I presume Grillgrates do. What a fantastic invention. Let us know how it turns your product out differently!
