Why isn't anyone making a dome thermometer that can be clipped to the grate? So it could stay wrapped and clipped to lid, or it could be unwrapped and clipped to the grate. It would be long enough to allow the lid to open while clipped to the furthest possible location on the grate.
This would be great on my Primo XL, any hinged BBQ, and any Weber with a lid receiver.
You bring up an interesting point. One of those those huge overlooked items. We know some mfg. put in quality gauges, just don’t work for us cookees. We’ll wait to see what you come up with.
