    AMazing smoke tube

Purchased one a few weeks ago for cold smoking cheese and eggs. How do you get your's lit? I'm looking for the torch type lighters but haven't found one yet and a regular lighter just doesn't work consistently.

I use a map torch - available at any home-center. makes short work of getting her going.

I use a kitchen torch. Bought it from Amazon. I see harbor freight sells them too.

I have a brûlée torch that I use. A cigar lighter would work as well. A standard lighter won’t work. You need a 45 Second sustained flame.

Hopefully this Amazon link works: http://a.co/d/3xhP5xO. I use the Bernzomatic TS8000. Told myself I would use it for more than just getting the A-Maze-N Smoke Tube going, but so far that is only me using it like a little boy on Christmas Day. I hold it on the pellets for 45 seconds to a minute. Works every time.

Same on the Bernzo, work great and you get a long charge out of the bottles. Great for starter cubes as well.

I agree with xaugievike, mapp gas has a higher temperature burn than propane, lights all things faster! I've had the same canister with a bernzomatic torch head on it for about 3 years. Great investment.
