    Kitchen Shears

What is a good brand of shears to buy to Spatchcock a chicken. I read reviews on Amazon and some shears doesnt cut up chicken and they rust after a few uses. Thanks

I use Wusthof shears but they are a little iffy for spatchcocking birds. I’ve been eyeing these recently: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P2DJC1S...kequippilot-20

I use a sharp knife and save the shears for paper. Other that that I have Wustoff ad a garden variety.

Those look like I could stick my hand thru it vs. 2 or 3 fingers.

I bought these per Meathead review. I love em and I cut a lot of chickens. They work great

ID:	544167 I own a pair of Cutco shears. I've had them for 10 years and no rust and they have never gone dull.

        Made in the USA

Quite expensive but you get what you pay for.

I use Wusthoffs for chicken, and those guys in the pic for turkey.

I have some Fiskars pruning shears from Home Depot that are great for this. I just keep them oiled up and in the house to prevent rust.

These really work very well: SHUN DM7240: 9-INCH KITCHEN SHEAR, it features a micro-serrated blade to grip even the most slippery of foods, and even includes a bone-notch for those tough-to-cut materials.

They are a little pricy, but I am really happy with mine.
