I tell my 2-year old "chop chop" when I want him to move faster.

Good looking end grain cutting board. I think I’m going to go this way also. I have noticed a lot of complaints about the other style Boos boards warping and spliting lately. End grain appears to be the way to go.

As far as I'm concerned it is! Lasts forever.

Nice! Reminds me of my old meat cutting days. Better put it in your will-
                  it will probably outlive you.

This thing weighs 34 pounds 9 ounces. While loading firewood into my truck yesterday I pulled some muscles in my lower right back, so carrying this thing is just a little awkward right now. I'm thinking of installing handles on each side, or just cutting "groove" handles into the sides.

I have two coats of oil on the top and sides. One coat of oil on the bottom. I now have one coat of the Board Cream on the top and sides that will sit until tomorrow. I may put a layer on the bottom that way it will protected for years since I won't use it. I just want it (bottom) hydrophobic in case of incidental water from rinsing off the top.

My last board cleaned up pretty easy simply by running fairly warm water over it right after use. And that was just oil, no board cream, so it this one should clean up even better.

Oh, and rubber bumper feet on the bottom of the board. May do that first since that will give me a better grip on the board.

Silicone rubber bumper feet on the way with stainless steel screws. Thinking of just putting three to get the tripod affect. 1 5/8" clear.

customtrim I was thinking of that. Should I apply it (oil/silicone) in the hole before inserting the screw? Putting force on the corners right now, the only thing that moves is the 8-person table.

If you install them in a tripod shape it will rock

I like a drawer liner sheet roughly the size of the board between board and counter that keeps it steady.

In in a pinch I can achieve same with a couple moist paper towels flat under the board.

Silicone trivets can also work depending on size.

I have some silicone pads I can use. I plan to have the bumpers installed before use.

I don't have that fancy Boos but I do have one! I put a terry cloth rag under it to cut slippage. Just change it out for another one regularly and wash.

Great looking block! As Christmas presents years ago my father made one slightly smaller for me and each of my brothers. (He also made a smaller, thinner one too - something that's more useable in the kitchen since it is easier to move and clean.) With a handle on either side, it is luggable, but at nearly 30 pounds, it don't move. He seasoned it with bamboo oil, and I have the bottle he gave me to occasionally re-treat. Definitely an heirloom, I expect it to last generations.

I envy people with the tools to do such stuff. I definitely wouldn't have a problem clamping something down and walking away for a day. Especially if I can sous vide something for 48 hours.
