Jump on that if it is in good shape. I have the VP215 and I love it. Make sure the pump is operational and it seals well. Check the oil as well. Do you have a link to the one for-sale?
VP215 is a fantastic unit. Agree with Spinaker on making sure it seals well. There's a port in the back to check the oil. If it's either dry or the oil looks bad, I'd wonder about the condition.
I agree with the others about checking on it functioning properly and the oil condition, but assuming it is in good shape, you should snatch that baby up!
I've had a VP215 for about a year and we absolutely love it! After owning various for FoodSavers over the years, the VP215 put them to shame. ComfortablyNumb can probably chime in too.
If it works it's a no brainer. I use mine daily. For example, I package bacon or sausage in a bag, cut top off when needed to remove some, then reseal the bag. It is easy to use and seals solids, liquids, and powders. Here is a link to a new one that has a link on the page to the owners manual.
