    Food processor or immersion blender?

Not sure what I should get or what I even need if anything. I have one of the original Ninja blenders with the 3 different size canisters for blending or chopping different amounts of whatever. Forget chopping or shredding in it because you can get more consistent sizing using a knife and my knife skills suck. It does a good job of making smoothies and fancy drinks which I don't do often. Too easy to open a bottle of my favorite brew. It does turn ice cubes into snow pretty well.

The Ninja has a little plastic bushing on the control head that is getting worn and making it hard to use so soon it will be shot altogether. I use it for blending marinades to the right consistency. But if I could find a food processor that slices and dices consistently as well as blend I'd consider it.

Then again I hate to drag a big food processor out and make it dirty just for a few pulses to make a marinade the right consistency. I probably don't need either one just having a indoor snow day surfing Amazon and got bit by the mcs bug!

Thought of that as you can get a immersion blender pretty cheap.

Aren't they blenders only? I'd like some slicing and dicing capabilities.

Thanks for the offer customtrim but don't bother it's time for me to get something new. I'm thinking for what I do a immersion blender will do enough.

Maybe you should invest in a knife using class. Then you won’t suck, at knives anyways. Just tryin to help.

I agree. I got a new set of custom knives coming soon. Plenty of You Tube video's on knife skills to watch but don't forget I got the left handed affliction! Everybody cringes when I pick up a knife or scissors around here!

Immersion blender will do what you need and easy to clean as you can put it in the sink in a bowl of soapy water and run it, then finish washing it easily.

Make sure you get a cup the same size as the blender head so you can make your own homemade mayo also, definitely worth it.
