I like the idea but I don't see that thing staying put in the sand on the beach when things get a little breezy especially if you got a 9' umbrella on it. It would have a better chance stuck in the sod in a park or something. Now the trailer hitch one would be solid. I have those flag poles that you stick under the tire of your truck and you can run up your favorite teams flag in the parking lot at the tail gate party they work great too!

I agree. Would not last on the beach at our house in the Outer Banks with any wind to speak of. I like the trailer hitch spot.

Wouldn’t work here much. Today 20 to 25 mph winds with gusts to 45. Wind advisory until 6pm.

Good idea for the backyard or maybe in a park, but I have to agree, our beach here on the Oregon coast is to soft and i couldn't see it holding in our winds either. Have any idea how long the tines are that go into the ground?
