    Brazilian Style Multi-Rotisserie

I was watching a recorded Project Smoke off the Tivo in the background, not really paying attention until I glanced up and saw Stephen Raichlen loading 6 skewers into a crazy looking rotisserie contraption sitting on top of a Weber Performer Premium. A little too rich for my blood when I found it with Google's help but it still looks pretty cool, and will work for about any grill:

All roads to the open and spinning side of barbecue lead through The Carson Kit. The Kit is a multi-turbotisserie that converts your grill into a Brazilian style steakhouse.

Blake Carson was on the BBQ Central Show last summer. You want to hear one of the CRAZIEST, most entertaining interviews ever check it out.

It starts about 1:16:28 if you want to skip right to it.

Crazy is all I can say.

Just listened to it, wow is right. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview though. I admire his vision and passion for rodizio style cooking.

My Santa Maria grill is set up to accept a 36" spinner. They are expensive. I just never really got the spinner cooking bug and most times I'm not cooking that close to an electric source. Interesting concept though.

I love the look of those Santa Maria grills! If I didn't have too many grills already I would look into one of those. Cool way to cook!

Frozen Smoke yeah, I thought hard about splurging on a rotisserie for my Weber kettles, but decided I'm happy enough with smoking indirect, or cooking direct, with chicken and/or roasts of various types. It's not worth it for me.

Now, I am pondering a new gas grill next year, if I give my son the 16 year old Genesis with Grillgrates when he moves out (he uses it a lot and loves the Grillgrates), and have swung away from another Weber, due to their design changes, to considering a Broil King model that includes rotisserie. If it comes with the grill I'll try it at least once!

jfmorris if you have any interest in starting stick burning I have a nice offset vertical with a Santa Maria grill that is trailer mounted I'd sell ya! I could use a road trip to Alabamy!

Haha as good as that sounds I’ve got two in college and two weddings to throw money at the next 12 months, so I’ve made a resolution to not go crazy on new grills this year. I’ve got a Drip ‘N Griddle on the way and will likely replace the Performer grate this year with the stainless one from ADrenaline BBQ, but have resolved to just fix up and use the grills I’ve got for now.

Oh Man jfmorris i've been where you're at. I had two get married in 18 months. One daughter who spared no expense for dad and a son who was much cheaper. But not much fun stuff purchased for about 2 years!
