My wife has mentioned more than once over the holidays that she’s ready for some pulled pork. I’ve only ever smoke one butt, but I tucked that away for future reference. I mentioned to her this morning that I’d like to run a few places tomorrow morning: Lowe’s to pickup some Weber briquettes to try out (they’re 40% off right now), the grocery to get whatever I need to make MMD and BBBR, then over to Carrboro to check out Cliff’s Meat Market. And get some short ribs.
She said nothing just nodded; however... she came home later and hands me a bag. In it - some OXO meat shredders, and a few jars with shaker tops to hold my rubs.
Guess who’s smoking a butt instead of short ribs this weekend! I’ve never owned any shredders, will let you know if I like them better than forks. Look like they might help removing hot meat from the grill too, I dunno.
