I use three different setups. Charbroil grill gloves for dry hot things, pitmaker gloves for wet greasy things, and cotton liners under nitril gloves when things are not too too hot.

Dang! I needed this Sunday! I went to the depot and just bought some welders gloves! I was managing the kettle grill with basic silicon gloves that I usually use for food removal only and got a little singe a few times.
I did did like the welder gloves I picked up though. I picked up a few embers and coals without any issues and moved the coals to an even stack when I dropped th chimney coals in for the sear.
But it always fun to see the various setup of gloves people use.
