My dad has a new Char-Broil gasser. I want to give him a smoker box or tube and variety of wood as a Christmas gift. I've only used a basic cast iron box with my gasser (and haven't used the gasser to smoke in years).
Any recommendations from the gasser pros out there?

I have the A-Maze-N-Tube as well along with an AMNPS tray. Both do as advertised. Unfortunately when I tried them on my gasser they kept going out. I use them on my pellet pooper most of the time. I think on the gasser you have so much air circulation and combustion gas from the propane that it sucks the oxygen out of the air too quickly, that's my half-assed theory anyway. I have a small smoker box built in that is gas assisted so I make that work instead. Good luck !!
Well, considering its too late to things shipped before Christmas if you didn't order it yesterday, I know Home Depot sells the Weber and maybe another brand of smoker box. I personally would try the A-Maze-N-Tube or the Mo's Smoking Pouch if you had time to get them.

If you go with a smoke tube, I'd get a square or hex shape. That way you don't have to be limited in running it parallel to your grates to keep it from rolling around.
