The latest update does not let you set temperature alerts for your ambient probes. Additionally, you can only set alerts for meat probes up to 200 F. I just got off the phone and the support guy told me it will be weeks before those features are re-added.

4 Thermoworks POPs
2 Dot and 1 Chef Alarm

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
Welcome CrazyHair that reminds me that I have a brand new iGrill 2 that I bought about 2 1/2 years ago and haven't open it it yet. That's what happens when you start getting old your memory starts to fade away along with some other features 😊.

The igrill update not only removes the temperature range features, the alarms, custom cooks, it also broke the watch app that allowed for wifi connectivity as long as the phone was close to the pit. The graphing functions are also destroyed and you can no longer scale the plots or do anything with them. It is also amazing that you can't set the temperature for a brisket to be above 195. I think that the AmazingRibs.com gold award should be revoked until they fix this. How could a company like Weber allow this to be released? Calling support, which is usually great, was useless. They just tell you it isn't their fault. Really? They also tell you that there is no way to get the old app and that we all must be patient while they push out updates. Take a look at the reviews on the App Store. If I was the president of Weber, I would be appalled and embarrassed. Sorry for the rant but I got up at 4 am to smoke a brisket on my wsm and was shocked when I opened the app after happily updating it. We can trust Weber - right?. I should have read CrazyHair's post a few days ago and would not have updated the app.

Is that even possible? The reason I am asking is, when Weber first took over I was forced to make an update to the app which switched from iGrill to Weber which was a downgrade at that time. Now I am hearing from you and CrazyHair that this app has further gone downhill. This weekend's cook should be interesting. stevey I will let you know if I can get away from updating the app before using it. Thanks for the info!Originally posted by stevey View PostI should have read CrazyHair's post a few days ago and would not have updated the app.
