Some of you may remember that I made some homemade rib racks last year. Well, I found some 3/32" ss rod locally for a good price, so I bought some to play with. My homemade bending jig doesn't work with the thinner rod, (I used 1/8" before), so I wound up using two pliers to make the bends First I made a pit probe holder and then 2 rib clips with the leftover piece.
Here are the earlier posts on the rib racks:
I can use the probe holder with or without an alligator clip. I already had the heatproof silicon plug.

With these clips, you bend the rack into a circle and push one end of the clip through each end of the rack. When I get access to a belt sander, I will sharpen the ends.

I liked to take stuff apart to figure out how they worked. That didn't always turn out to be a good idea. LOL
