Video showing how I added a BBQ Guru universal adaptor to my Weber 57cm kettle

    Hi all,

I recently bought myself a DigiQ DX2 as a belated Christmas present. I'm not particularly handy, so I was quite nervous about fitting it to my 57cm kettle. I found a few youtube videos showing already fitted units, but not the process in full.

Given that I only have the one kettle and needed to get this right, I put a little planning and fiddling in, so I thought a video for the next person to want to do this might be useful.

I've posted it at https://youtu.be/1aRC50xZqYo (had to change link to fix video)

@Anonymousiemming, Well done on Your Video but more importantly on Your Mounting Procedure for the DigiQ DX-2 Universal Mounting for the Viper Fan! I did the same thing a while back (2 Yrs) and it is Critical to Properly Locate the Pilot Hole! The one difference between Your approach and mine is that after Stepping up to 1/2", I used a 7/8" Elecrical Box Knock Out Punch to finish the Hole! Same Hole Different Means!

Thanks for the comments - and the pictures. Is that a slow 'n sear in yours ?

Like I say, I'm not particularly handy, so I googled tools to cut thin metal and settled on the hole saw The Bosch was chosen just because they had a 22mm and a 25mm.

I've just had to replace the video because I found QA was poor and there were repeated sections. But the meat is honestly better than my videography

I wish there was more of a BBQ scene in the UK to make accessories like this more popular, but I do understand why it isn't

It is a S 'n S in the Pic's! Behind it is a Drip 'n Griddle with an old cake Pan for Drips! I find the Drip 'n Griddle helps gives
better Air Flow and Temp Control from the S 'n S & DX-2! Before I used a 20 Ga. SS Baffle! Cut by My Furnace Man!
