I have scanned a bunch of threads form the past regarding replacement bags for a FoodSaver. I can't seem to nail down an actual name of bags that folks have had decent luck with, (other than expensive FS brand bags). Does anybody have a link for bags you have used and are happy with? There are quite a few on Amazon that state, "commercial quality." but I have heard that one before. Any ideas?

> WeberQ 2000 (on "loan" to a relative (I'll never see it again))
> Old Smokey Electric (for chickens mostly - when it's too nasty out
to fiddle with a more capable cooker)
> Luhr Jensen Little Chief Electric - Top Loader circa 1990 (smoked fish & jerky)

I got some rolls of the bags from ebay and they work great. They are the textured bags that FS sells but in rolls of 50 ft. The only thing I do extra is double seal them, in other words heat seal them twice on the same spot.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

As mentioned FoodSaver is currently having Buy 1 Get 1 on their rolls and their vacuum zipper bags. This includes GameSaver which are the exact same bags for the record.

I've had good luck with the rolls & bags from here. Also where I got my sealer. Some Google action can find you a current coupon code for bags / rolls.
Even with the BOGO offered by Foodsaver, the Commercial Bargains rolls are half the price of the FS. Look at the cost per foot. I didn't do a comparison for the other links.
I use the Food saver resealable bags. (ziplock top) then just wash them out in between uses they last a good long time for me. I use SV to reheat my chunks of Brisket (45 min at 160 F) they do that wonderful and then seal right back up waiting for the next use. FS had a buy one get one free a few months back and I took advantage of that! I should be good for bags for 6 months at least.
