    Which rotisserie

I'm starting to look at rotisseries. I have a Weber 22.5" kettle, and a Kamado Joe Classic.
The Weber rotisserie is about $150. The Joetisserie is $250.
I don't know if anyone has both and can offer a comparison.
I'm interested in opinions from people who have either one.

Which one will make better food?

I have the Weber rotisserie and have made a few chickens, they come out great, I like the equipment. you do have to find a storage solution, the original box only lasts so long. It does give the kettle more places for air to get in, so wont be trying low temperature cooks with it in place.

I have the cajun bandit on my weber smokey mountain. Love it. Uses batteries so you don't have to run power. What I like about his unit is it will fit both the Weber smokey mountain and the regular kettle. Plus it's stainless steel construction is spot on. http://cajunbandit.com/rotisserie/22-5/ they had another one that fits the jumbo joe and all the weber 18.5 in.

Can't help you with a rotisserie recommendation for a Weber kettle or a KJ (I use a rotisserie on my Genesis but that's no help). What I suggest is that you simply enter the word "Joetisserie" in the Pit search box and you'll get plenty of hits on discussions about it.

I have seen the KJ Rot and it looks like it seals the KJ really well. I saw one in my local BBQ supply store. The owner admitted that they are pricey, but he said the people that have bought them from him, Love them.

From looking at it and opening and closing the lid. It looks like you could do low and slow on it too. But its also $100 more. And I don't know if I would do a low and slow on the Rot as i usually do chicken and stuff like that Hot and fast.

I don't know where you live or if you grill year round but if you live in a cold climate and like to cook on your grill all year I'd get the Joetisserie. The kamado will just be easier to run in cold windy, rainy, snowy weather as they are pretty much immune to the weather.

If you are just going to spin some chickens in the summertime I'd probably save the money and just get the one for the kettle.

I have only used the Weber rotisserie and it is not made for an airtight fit. If that is important to you, don't get the Weber. However, the things I use the rosisserie for are always hot and fast. It does make a great chicken and the best turkey I have had.
