Has anyone tried this item out yet? They make a 3 different sizes (6", 12" & expanding length). Just curious, my Mo's Smoking Pouch is getting a bit ratty..

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

I've had one for years and it works well. The only complaint I've heard that it's hard to light but someone showed the trick which is to set it on its end instead of laying on its side when lighting. Let it burn for several minutes before you blow it out and lay it down that way it won't go out. Also using the butane torch Works well. I cold smoked many batches of cheese bacon and fish and put it in my pellet smoker for extra smoke, all with good results

I have the 6 and 12. Works well in the pellet smoker for extra smoke. Lite standing up as indicated above with a butane torch.
Have also used it in an electric smoker but you have to have adequate airflow.
No need if you have a smoker where you use wood as fuel or chunks.

I have a Charbroil gas grill, Big Easy, Large gas smoker and small electric smoker, GMG Davy Crockett pellet grill. I also have a 160L Cabelas dehydrator which I use for beef jerky.
I'm on a mission to visit every brewery in WA!
I have the expandable unit. Works great, but seems to burn through pellets faster than my flat pellet smoker from Amazen. Also, as others have mentioned, airflow is an issue. I've had the tube smoker go out at times.
