I have one Dexter scalloped slicer that I use fro briskets. Works like a charm. Stays sharp, and its cheap! I have a lot of expensive knives. I love them too. But these Dexter knives are pretty damn good knives, especially at this price.

I use a Wusthof Classic offset bread knife, which unfortunately they no longer make. They do make it in some of their other lines and they have something similar they call the offset deli knife. All of my knives are now Shun Classics, but the bread knife is the only exception. Shun does make an offset bread knife, but it's not worth it for a bread knife IMO.
The key here is you want the offset so you can slice all the way through without your knuckles hitting the cutting board.
