I picked these up at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. I believe they were under $10. So far I am pretty impressed. They are very sharp. They come apart easily for cleaning, and I cut right through chicken joints, no problem. I like the cushioned grips, too. There is a good size notch to get the bones into as well.
Is there any lose from them not being spring loaded like the recommended OXO shears on this website? I need to buy a pare as I am planing to try spatching my Turkey this year.
mschertz, not in my humble opinion. I have already spatched several chickens with them. But I must say that I have not tried the OXO ones recommended here.
