    Grill Grates!

    Just used my new Grill Grates for the first time to grill a couple of burgers for lunch. All I can say is WOW! These thungs are awesome. My only question is "Why didn't I get these things years ago?

    What did you use them on, what grill?
    I got a guy on CL who's selling a cheap grill with GGs.
    I'm attempting to get a good deal if he's willing to part out.
    But never have seen and wonder what I should offer.
    It's the 5 piece set for standard sized gasser.

        I think the only thing I can say in response is that upgrade may be the redefinition of "pimpin yo' ride."
        I don't completely get it.
        But I sense it is awesome.
        And I want to do it.
        Tomorrow.

      Not to sound ignorant, I really can't help it, but what's the benefit? On a kettle would they sit on top of the standard grates or do they replace them entirely?

        Don't know about a kettle. On the gasser they eliminate the hotspots and raise the temperature.

      l'inferno I have a 3 burn plus searing burner gas grill. I got the 5 piece set to cover everything but the searing station. I have a narrow cast iron grate iver that.

          I emailed the dude about parting out the GGs but I wouldn't blame him if he refused.

          I think I get the utility of the GGs.
          It's just a matter of justifying the ducat$.

          On a kettle, especially a small one like the Smokey Joe, you load that baby up with charcoal, get it a blazin' and start the cooking without any worries of flare ups. That is my go-to for hamburgers.

            Yes but I was more referring to and asking about the SV'd PC's seared on the GG's.
