I don't have a deck, and now with the WSM and Kettle I'm quickly realizing I need somewhere to set all my "stuff". Not anything for the actual cookers themselves but somewhere to set food and what not.
Anyone buy anything from walmart or target that works awesome? I know this is a pretty straight forward, go buy a table and use it, but figured I'd get some insight from people who may have found some work better than others.
DennisComp, They do sell that in stores I had one but it didn't last very long & is awkward to set up & take down. the one listed in #2 is also in stores & works well outside going on 5 years for mine

I have just a round steel table that has the hole in the middle of the top so you can put an umbrella in it that I picked up on sale at Home Depot. It works great and is weather resistant, has a powder coat finish that is very durable and it does not matter how hot what ever I sit on it is.

I like a couple of small tables so I can move them around if needed and I got them for $10-15 each at a yard sale. These are old metal tables that I cleaned up and slapped some extra paint on them. Here's one that has fold down shelves.
Saw this post a while back.
Figured I would respond because I've never been able to find a commercial grade ajustable height portable plastic table heavy duty capacity that was stable on uneven ground.

I have a plastic 24" x 4' table that folds (you can find them at Walmart in different sizes), and 2 alum camping tray tables for hot items. You should be able to find the tray tables in any store with a good camping section like Gander Mountain or Cabela's. http://www.cabelas.com/product/campi..._SEQ_553898880
The aluminum camping tables are nice. I really like their portability. My only concern was weight capacity I wondered if they would be too lightweight if you had multiple meats and various cooking items on top - not to mention cutting, chopping, carving, etc.
The clamps could be used for holding the brisket whilst carving with a sawzall.
I changed my search criteria to "portable work bench" and things like that. I'm thinking a company that specializes in portable tables for conferences and exhibits may have something. But of course they are more expensive.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
I have both of the tables that are in post #1 and #2 except the table in post #2 has the plastic all the way across it. Both are good tables but the one in post #1 is sturdier.
I put together a simple table/storage area. I bought two Sterilite 4-drawer cabinets and mad a top from plywood covered with an aluminum sheet. Since my patio is a tad uneven, I bade a base with slightly different legs to level it out. It works well for me, and holds all my tools, thermos, paper towels, foil, etc., etc. It is under a canopy, but we don't get torrential rain or very cold temps here.
