I don't know if this is the right channel for this, but does anybody have a good, effective he'll cleaning product to recommend? I'm talking any the cleaning product (soap, etc.) not the cleaning tools. Ideally it would be effective on the grates and also the stainless steel cabinet surfaces. Thanks, in advance.

I really like Diversy Breakup for stainless, but don't let it get on anything else. It was discontinued for a while but looks like it's available in the US again. I spray my MAK, wait, then hose or pressure washer off and it looks brand new. I highly recommend the new Dawn Platinum Plus PowerSuds cleaner recommended by Mosca. Put 4 dirty grill grates in a tub of how water mixed with some of this. Left it in the sun for a couple of hours. Everything wiped off with paper towels. Best grill cleaner I have ever used.

I don’t usually use on the grates (use Dawn PowerWash for those or my steam cleaner) but I use Traeger’s non toxic grill cleaner inside the grill occasionally to clean up grease in the gas or charcoal grills.

When I clean the grates in the spring I spray them with oven cleaner and then take them to the car wash and power wash them off. I try to let them soak with the oven cleaner for at least 20 minutes. Also, lesson learned the hard way, make sure to spray them down on cardboard. The first time I did this I had grease drippings in the bed of my old truck for awhile despite a couple trips to the car wash.
This method really works to deep clean the grates. Day to day I use one of those grill rescue cleaning tools to"steam clean" the grates after a cook.
