I’ve had probably 3 or 4 different sets of battery operated grinders over the years and I love em! I would buy these in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have a set. I use mine almost daily. All the ones I’ve had have been battery operated but not rechargeable. Being rechargeable is a big plus to me. I’ve got a rechargeable hand held can opener and a small hand mixer. The batteries they put in these things last a long time before having to recharge. Looks like these have also gotten excellent reviews.
When I got my first set of these type of grinders, I had the wrong mindset of how they would work. I figured I’d be using these for all of my seasoning needs. While they work great, I had to lower my expectations a bit. If you’re going to be seasoning a brisket before smoking it, it’ll take a while, at least for the pepper. After trying them to season a pot of soup I had going on the stove, I found the steam could be going into the opening at the bottom and getting moisture inside the salt or pepper grinder. I now use it before anything starts boiling. These grinders are great though for seasoning at the table! The ones I’ve had have been plenty fast enough for that. It looks like these also have a little light that shines on your food while grinding, mine have that feature also and it’s a nice feature to have. Unless you’re gonna need lots of salt/pepper for a big hunk of meat, these should work well for most anything else. I’ve got a decent manual pepper grinder, haven’t used it in 15 years, these are so much easier.

MCS wish list - Lone Star Grillz off set
Had a set for a very short time until a dinner guest tried to grind the pepper by turning like a manual mill. It broke and I never replaced it. Personally I prefer a manual grinder anyway.

I really like using this set. Quick response to the touch, as in a little goes a long way as a table S&P set, but perfect for cooking and dry brining meat, for example.
Not rechargeable though. Old school batteries.
This set is about $120 on Amazon , but they have 2 pod sets available also for about $60. I like having the extra pods for spices I particularly like to grind directly over food. I have one pod, for example, for smoked salt. I have a few extra pods with other fave grindable spices stored in the spice cabinet close by.
If you're interested in this, get the tray to contain the droppings that naturally occur with salt and pepper grinders. Finamill has several tray designs. I have one by the cooktop with 3 pod positions in a row: Salt, Pepper and the empty mill filling the 3rd position. Very handy.
Both daughters liked mine so well that I of course had to gift each of them a set. Typical doting Mom knee-jerk reaction. 💕
