Really Cool Cooking Oil Spray Bottles

I’m probably late to the game for some of you, but I just discovered these today. They’re a 3 in 1 [I’ll explain in a minute] type of cooking oil spray bottles, and they work really well. They come in a pack of 2, complete with 8 labels to choose from, depending on the oil you put in the bottle. There’s 6 pre-labeled and 2 blank ones that you can label yourself.

The 3 in 1 feature I’m talking about lets you…. press the lever fast for a fine spray of oil, press the lever slower and it shoots out a stream of oil, and it also has a slide lever at the top which you can slide down to pour the oil out if you like. I tried it out today and works just as advertised! I’ve always either poured my oil straight out of the bottle or used some type of spray Pam to use on my pots and pans. Some types of materials don’t recommended using an aerosol spray type oil, such as Pam. I can see myself now using these to spray canola or olive oil on my SS pots and pans before cooking, instead of Pam. You can also use it to spray a light layer of oil on your proteins, or whatever, when needed. If doing chicken wings, I’ve always just mixed the wings in a bowl after pouring in the oil, pretty messy. With this I can just spray the oil on the wings on my wire rack. I’ve never had an oil spray bottle before, but wanted to share this if anyone’s in the market. They seem to be well made and the spray/stream features work great!

Sliding the lever down and it’s ready to pour…

Here’s a link to them, there’s also a short video showing how they work….only $15.
CORRECTION: $17. for 2 OR $9.-$10. for one

I bought one of those to spray finishing oil on salads. The salads are still waiting ...

One thing I noticed is that if you spray slowly (creating a stream), there might be a little oil dripping down the side. Don't place this on tablecloths, napkins, or other surfaces that oil is not wanted. Maybe put it on a small plate if it's used at the dinner table.

I’ve been using them for a couple of years now and I really like them.

I recently bought some similar oil sprayers but they didn't come with the labels. I haven't used them yet.

Got my wife a couple for Christmas bc she always buys the crap in the can. Now she can use the good stuff that I buy. Has she opened it yet? No. 🙄🤷‍♂️

how long have you had them?

every similar bottle I've tried worked great at first and then clogged within a few weeks. It would be great to find one that didn't have long term clogging issues.

Thanks John. I'm interested to see if the outside of the bottle eventually gets oil on it. I've tried a number of different oil bottles, and the bottles have eventually wound up oily enough that I have to wash my hands after picking them up. It looks like the handle will solve the problem of oil on my hand, but do they eventually deposit oil where they sit? I'll hold off ordering for a while and wait for updates down the road.

I read a lot of the Amazon reviews and there was no mention of oil leaking out onto the glass. Most people who left a review, even after a year or more of having them, think they’re great. Please do not question anything I recommend to The Pit. 😂😉

What the hell’s with you John. You watching my house?
My olive oil spray bottle actually broke tonight. So I am now looking for a replacement.

Thank you for posting this. I will check them out.

gboss I just got them today but I don’t think you would have any clogging issues, here’s why. At the end of the sprayer tube is a removable screen filter which will catch any residue before it reaches the actual spray mechanism. Here’s a few pics.

I read many reviews before buying them and no one mentioned anything about clogging. A few people mentioned they had it 6 months to over a year and said it still worked perfectly. My thinking is the filter at the end of the tube would catch anything before clogging the sprayer. If I ever noticed a decrease in spray power I would just check the filter to see if it was clogged and then wash it off under hot water to remove any trapped residue.

Looks interesting PJ, may look into those. One thing to pay attention to though, since you mentioned using PAM on your SS pans and plan on using oil from these instead. I too use PAM (or more commonly a store brand equivalent) on SS for non-stick purposes, and it works great, but recently I tried using a different variety of cooking spray, I think it was PAM Grilling Spray, and it didn’t work, my eggs stuck like glue. To be clear, I spray the pan first and then add additional oil, it seems to need both to be non-stick. Anyway, after checking the can labels I discovered that the normal PAM contained Soy Lecithin, which is the ingredient that provides the non-stick property, and the PAM Grilling Spray did not. Both were canola oil. Now, whenever I buy spray oil, of whatever brand, I always check to make sure it contains Soy Lecithin. I suspect, based on this experience, that spraying straight oil on a SS pan will not likely provide the same non-stick properties you currently get from using PAM.

We recently got one of those for our olive oil. It works really well. Used to have one that you had to pump up, this is so much better.

                        You can get just one.
Order placed. Can’t be any worse than my now broken one. 😁

I didn’t see where you could get just one at first, thanks for pointing that out.

Those are nice. I like the labels. But I'm kinda cheap. I just use the container it comes in or I refill nice bottles that I have.

I have had a couple of these for a few years now. No problems with clogging or residue. I use them to spritz when I am doing long cooks as well.
