Looking for advice on high heat gloves

Happy New Years! I have very small hands and would appreciate recommendations for a smaller sized pair of heat resistant gloves. Silicone would be great as I make a 5-gallon pail of granulated maple sugar every year, it can be a sticky mess. At best, something that can be wiped off easily, or go safely into a washing machine. My current pair is so large I could fit both hands and have room to spare.

How hot are we talking? Have you tried cloth glove liners with nitrile gloves over top? I can take some pretty good heat with that combination.

+1 on the cotton liners under the nitrile. I've found that this works for most cases and it's cheap to try it out first... :-)

Hey Grill Hey have gloves that fit firmly with your hands, and you can wash them while wearing them. Rated at 500 degrees.
Also Gorilla Mountain Gloves, a little bulky, but easy to wash while wearing. Rated at 700 degrees. I have personally picked up a burning briquette and moved to a different area, and never felt the heat.

That’s handy to know, my spouse asked me why I didn’t pull the Webber kettle out further on the deck, perhaps it’s because I’m hiding a burn hole I put in a new deck when a briquette went rouge. To be able to pick one up quickly

I love my Hey Grill Hey gloves. They are made to be really small so they are not clumsy. Not sure what material they are.

      Sugar sand!!!!!

This is what we use when we are pulling off of our evaporator. Good to 480 F and you maintain some dexterity. Great gloves.

Now those look good, comes in a medium. Ideally I would be size 6 but hey size 8 is a lot closer. I just don’t feel 100% safe with syrup at @ 250 degrees and gloves the size of my head. Maple sugar gives off a ton of steam when it’s starting to granulate so you have to be careful. Thank you.

I got the Hey Grill Hey gloves when they came out. So much easier to use and to clean! Excellent dexterity!

I use 2XL Nitrile disposable gloves that I put over XL cotton polyester string knit gloves that can be washed if needed. I can handle anything I put in the smoker and don't need to worry about cleaning the gloves later. I don't try and move the metal grates though, not sure that would be advisable.
