Is anyone else having issues emailing grocery lists in Paprika? It use to work just fine. But now I get and error when I try to send to my Xfinity account or when I set it up for gmail. This pic is the Xfinity error. The gmail is a different error. I did do the update to 3.2.2. Was going to try to install the trial version over the current version to see if that makes any difference. Or just do a complete reinstall since the data is on the cloud. Just haven't had this type of issue with Paprika before.

I just created a list and emailed it to myself with no issues. This was from the app from my iPhone. I saw it automatically populates my from email address. Do you have an email address in the profile? I’m sure you do since you’ve used it prior but just something to check.

If it’s what I think it is you’ll need to log on to your email server and “tell” it the certificate can be trusted. It’s a little convoluted but I can probably find the specifics for when I had to do the same thing a few years ago. FWIW, if you log onto your mail server, you should find the instructions/procedure there (that’s what I had to do).

The only setting I see for Xfinity email is checking a box for allowing external authorization for apps like Thunderbird (which works but have been having issues off and on every time Xfinity makes major changes). Now, the question I have is how to word the search for the certificate issue.

When I changed the setting in Paprika to gmail it also failed with a different error. But maybe is actually the same thing. So, how to update certificates and which ones...

Jim ... there is something called "DNSSEC" that the major ISP's use to protect users against attacks from bad guys using DNS spoofing. Instead of me doing an woefully inadequate job of trying to explain, just Google "xfinity dissect" ... or "configure dnssec" ... or just "dissect" and you'll get LOTS of info that might help you if indeed you need to configure something on your email server to let it know that emails sent from paprika can be trusted.
I can't guarantee that DNSSEC is the problem but it's something to ask your email (or paprika) user support about.
I'll see if I can find whatever forced me to deal with my similar-sounding problem several years ago. If I find anything that looks even remotely useful, I'll let you know.
Good luck!

Also ... I know there are at least a few Information Security Pros here in the Pit (like ecowper) who might be able to assist.Last edited by MBMorgan; December 29, 2025, 01:01 PM.

Thanks for the info. I tried to use the feature on my wife's computer and it did the same thing. Xfinity has been doing a lot of work around here. Right after that we started having issues with Thunderbird when NordVPN was running. I did update my Windows certificates but it didn't help. Guess it is a function that I won't be able to use anymore. I didn't use it very often, though.Last edited by JimLinebarger; December 29, 2025, 02:46 PM.

We also can no longer access our router via the 10.0.0.1. We have to access it via their app which makes it impossible to really configure it anymore.

If you want to conduct an experiment, you could pm me your email and I’ll try sending you a recipe from my paprika on iOS and from MacOS just to see if that gets blocked.
