    Breeo Burger Press

I got the Breeo burger press on a recent sale. I wanted something low maintenance, solid, and a size that works in a skillet for grilled sandwiches and such. I didn’t need something to heat up and use as top heat, hot mitts to use, two hands to pick up, or care more than a simple wash. The Breeo checked several boxes as summarized from their webpage:
    • Made in the USA with 3/16 in. 304 stainless steel
    • 2.6 pounds
    • Use in 8 inch diameter or larger cast iron skillet
    • Wide, comfortable grip with high-temperature silicone handle for ease of use
    • Good for smash burgers, grilled cheese, paninis, quesadillas, and anything in between.
It feels good in the hand and I was surprised how balanced it was. I used a square of parchment paper to smash burgers tonight on the cast iron griddle heated on the Weber gasser and it was effortless and quick. The burgers smashed down flat and thin, cooking up nicely. The silicon handle was comfy under the pressure, didn’t flex, and stayed cool to the touch. I will use it for other items (as listed above) and let you all know how it goes from there. Right now, I feel it’s going to be exactly what I was looking for.

Interesting design. Seems to be sporting a 5 star rating and some great online videos also. Might have to put this on my wish list.

I have one of those and love it. Easier to smash a burger than using just a spatula. Feels great in the hand too.

        I’ve bent a few spatulas. 🤦

Tempted to get the Sasquatch press because, "Sasquatch." (Yes, my sense of humor drives some of my purchases. 😁)

Alan Brice I didn't even notice the spelling. 🤓
Squash the burgers... so obvious and funny. 😆

I just looked at the, "Smashula." Dude wants $240 for a spatula/scraper.

The Breeo's offset handle design makes it easier to clean, I am guessing?

I find the Breeo really easy to clean. There’s no rivets, welds, or other cracks or crevasses to collect grease. It’s just one continuous piece of smooth steel with a silicone handle.

Here are pictures so it happened. 😉 I’m still surprised at how well it’s balanced and comfortable to use. The almost 3 pound weight is a surprise since doesn’t look that heavy for its size.

Made my wife a sandwich and toasted a pretzel bun. Worked really well in the 8 inch skillet. I did the same previously on a cast iron griddle on my grill and it came out even better. The weight wasn’t so much it smashed the bread, just provided even pressure for good contact.

The press isn’t big enough to do more than a single bun. However, using an 1/4 sheet pan I was able to cover four buns.

Ordered one awhile back and it came in today. Think I'll have to smash something next week...

I’ve been finding it really handy. I used it for burgers again a few days ago and quesadillas tonight. I hope you like yours!

I use a stainless steel finishing trowel from Lowe's. Works great. I have one at the beach house, too.
