    Portable vehicle food warmer

We have a spot where i buy fresh homemade authentic Green Chile Pork Tamales in a nearby city. So,when ever i go pick up a dozen or two i bring my trusty small ice chest with towels and a cheap plug in Walgreens heating pad. My vehicle has a 120V- 400Watt AC power output recepticle in the back, so all i do is set the heating pad to low and throw it in the ice chest to keep these warm.Of course, once home i had to sample a few Tamales with some smoked chipotle chilis with adobo sauce and a tad of salsa roja. Yum, we very fortunate to be able to pick up these Tamales up daily if needed.

That’s brilliant! I’m so jealous, since our retirement move I’ve not found a source of good tamales.

Smoked Transistors since we are neighbors…. Where do you go for the tamales?

during the spring time, have you ever been to El Cholo for the green chile tamales? They are in a sweet masa. Delicious, but seasonal availability only.

SheilaAnn, my buddy is a Lynwood School Officer, he's the one that turned me on to this tamale lady in Lynwood. She sets up on Long Beach Blvd.& Imperial Hwy. Not the best part of town, but killer tamales especially if you meet up with her by 7:00AM. She sells over 500 Tamales per day. I have never been El Cholo but have heard of it.

Love the food warmer tip but more importantly, where do you get the tamales? I'm not in LB but I'm not far away and I love good tamales.

Lynwood,Ca. Long Beach Blvd.& Imperial Hwy.In a small shopping complex next to a Smart & Final. She sells out of her vehicle and is only there a few hours each morning. She has a large following and ive been going to her for at least five years. Her tamales are steamed in a hugh steamer pot, once you get there of course you have to sample one or several. The masa is so creamy with a bit of a heat. They are stuffed with the pork filling too all for $2.50 ea / 30.00 a Doz, so worth it.

NJ is seriously lacking in good Mexican food. I’m really jealous.
