    My Favorite Watchamacalit

You might think this is a joke. But we purchased this little gadget a few months ago and it is used often. Ideal for turning chicken or anything with breading as to not damage the coating. It really has dozens of different uses.

    Highly recommend.

I got a two pack of Pig Tail brand flippers probably 15 years ago and they are definitely my go-to for steaks, chicken parts, veggies, and other items you can stab and flip. I'd imagine they would be awesome to use with a Santa Maria too.

I’d buy a doohickey before a watchamacalit. But that’s just the way I am.

            I'll stick with thingamabobs.
            Better reviews @ Amazing Ribs.

Well I've learned a new thing today, never knew these existed, but I do live under a rock.
They are in fact a thing and I'll have one on the doorstep of my rock later this week for the grand sum of 31 Oz sheckles.
          Thanks for sharing DavidNorcross

Yip. Them thingamabob's are very handy tools.
They are very popular these parts, so much so that they even made them in woodwork class as a project in primary school. I still have the 2 my son made more than 20 years ago.

Yep, I got a couple of them a few years ago, a two-pack with a short one and a long one. They’re better than tongs for flipping ribs because they don’t disturb the bark, and they’re great for moving around briskets and big hunks of pork.

Been using one for a few years now and really enjoy it. I read once in a while that some folks have trouble doing the wrist twist release after flipping, but once mastered it becomes one of those muscle memory things.

Another devise that doesn't seem as useful at first, but becomes a preferred tool with use, are tweezer tongs. Until you use them they don't seem like they are as versatile as actual usage demonstrates.

I love my Pigtail Turner, Spinaker turned me on to it about 8 or 9 years ago. It came with a small clear tubular protector for the tip, which is super sharp. I'm amazed that I still have the protector for it after all this time.

The handle on my version looks to be longer than the one shown here.

LOL, yeah, that little plastic tip on mine fled town early on. I now use a wine bottle cork...........big enough that my feeble ol' eyes can find it easily.....

I never knew that these things existed.

But Pigtail Turner sounds like some old blues musician...
