I'm in the market for an immersion blender to replace the Braun that died on me recently. I never really liked the Braun very much. I saw that Vita Mix has one on Amazon and it had 5 stars and lots of ratings. Anyone get goosebumps when they think about how much they love their immersion blender that would be willing to evangelize their model?

Well, this is awkward. I went on Amazon to check the price of the Vitamix and apparently, I have the Vitamix and I've had it for about 2 years now (according to Amazon I bought it in Aug 2021) but I don't think I've ever used it. The one that I do use is a Cuisanart CSB-179 and I have no complaints about it. I use it every other day for mayonnaise, and maybe every other week for something else. Excuse me for a few minutes while I go look for the Vitamix box.

I went cordless. Loved my corded immersion blender, but then got asked what I wanted for birthday/Xmas. I put the cordless version on there and I'm glad I did. I notice no difference except I don't have to worry about plugging it in unless I'm charging it. Works out great! B

I don't think you can go wrong with Vitamix.
I just bought a new immersion blender to replace my old KitchenAid that recently died after 12 years of service. Since I'm starting a small hot sauce business I bought a commercial unit that was on sale but it is huge compared to the KitchenAid - I would not recommend it for general home use: 1 1/4hp AvaMix with 12" and 21" shafts.

I have the Vitamix, it replaced a Bodum
unit that failed after a few years. I can't speak highly enough about the Vitamix!!! I got mine when Costco had them. I use it to make smoothies, salad dressing, chimmi churri, strawberry sorbet, and pizza sauce. It is so well made, lightweight and dishwasher safe. The only thing that may put some off is it has only the one KICK ASS blade attachment. There are no other attachments. It has my full endorsement. 🔥🔥🐿️

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
I have a Cuisinart, I’ve had it for years. I use it maybe once a month or so. It works, but it’s supposed to work. That’s all I can say.

I ended up going with the Vita Mix based on Twiggy and Troutman's recommendations, and my previous experience with their amazing blender. Not cordless, but my house has a black hole that sucks chargers into another dimension, never to be seen again, so I'm ok with one that has a cord attached. Thanks everyone.

I do. We use ours mainly for making bulletproof coffee each morning. We bought a no-name one from Amazon and that thing is probably 4 yrs old and still going strong, adjustable speeds too.

I have a KA unit that is three in one - immersion blender, small processor and a whisk (I’ve never used that). But the IB and processor get used often, the processor even more so. And also comes with a plastic jar with a lid.
Not sure if they make this model still or not, but I’ve had it for years and love it! It’s one I would replace if needed.
here’s the most recent model of what I have

I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
