Anyone here love their immersion blender?

I'm in the market for an immersion blender to replace the Braun that died on me recently. I never really liked the Braun very much. I saw that Vita Mix has one on Amazon and it had 5 stars and lots of ratings. Anyone get goosebumps when they think about how much they love their immersion blender that would be willing to evangelize their model?

Not sure I'd say "love", but we've been pretty happy with the Kitchen Aid immersion blender that we've had for a number of years.

Well, this is awkward. I went on Amazon to check the price of the Vitamix and apparently, I have the Vitamix and I've had it for about 2 years now (according to Amazon I bought it in Aug 2021) but I don't think I've ever used it. The one that I do use is a Cuisanart CSB-179 and I have no complaints about it. I use it every other day for mayonnaise, and maybe every other week for something else. Excuse me for a few minutes while I go look for the Vitamix box.

      I hate when that happens.

I have a Cuissinart that I like, as a bonus it came with a small food processor attachment that I find handy at times.

I went cordless. Loved my corded immersion blender, but then got asked what I wanted for birthday/Xmas. I put the cordless version on there and I'm glad I did. I notice no difference except I don't have to worry about plugging it in unless I'm charging it. Works out great! B

I bought a cordless hand mixer last year and love it. Works just as good for me as a corded mixer. If anything I buy can come in a cordless model, I’ll always buy it over a corded model.

I don't think you can go wrong with Vitamix.

I just bought a new immersion blender to replace my old KitchenAid that recently died after 12 years of service. Since I'm starting a small hot sauce business I bought a commercial unit that was on sale but it is huge compared to the KitchenAid - I would not recommend it for general home use: 1 1/4hp AvaMix with 12" and 21" shafts.

It really is overkill for the home but I bought the 12" shaft for home use - pureed soups etc. that I make in my stock pots. The 21" shaft will be for the hot sauce business: I will be blending 5 gallon batches of fermented peppers for the hot sauce - should be great for that.

klflowers Very small right now, I made two test batches - long gone. This year I'm trying to grow enough peppers to make a couple of large batches.

I have the Vitamix, it replaced a Bodum
unit that failed after a few years. I can't speak highly enough about the Vitamix!!! I got mine when Costco had them. I use it to make smoothies, salad dressing, chimmi churri, strawberry sorbet, and pizza sauce. It is so well made, lightweight and dishwasher safe. The only thing that may put some off is it has only the one KICK ASS blade attachment. There are no other attachments. It has my full endorsement. 🔥🔥🐿️

I have a Cuisinart, I’ve had it for years. I use it maybe once a month or so. It works, but it’s supposed to work. That’s all I can say.

Short of buying it flowers and a promise of a second honeymoon, I too am a Vitamix lover. I have both a standard and immersion blender by them.

Sounds like you need to take your immersion blender out for a date night. Thanks for the recommendation

I don’t have an immersion blender Dave, but this looks like what you need, according to all the Vitamix lovers here.
Hmm, doesn’t look like they make a cordless model though.

I ended up going with the Vita Mix based on Twiggy and Troutman's recommendations, and my previous experience with their amazing blender. Not cordless, but my house has a black hole that sucks chargers into another dimension, never to be seen again, so I'm ok with one that has a cord attached. Thanks everyone.

Woohoo! You will find that it fits perfectly in a mason pint jar for aioli or dressings. I am confident it will pass muster!! 💐👯‍♀️🤩🔥🔥🐿️

I do. We use ours mainly for making bulletproof coffee each morning. We bought a no-name one from Amazon and that thing is probably 4 yrs old and still going strong, adjustable speeds too.

So as a coffee bean grinder? Interesting. Never thought of that.

STEbbq No, not to grind the beans, I've not attempted grinding beans so I cannot comment on that. We use it to mix/blend the coffee, since bulletproofs use butter and MCT oil.

I have a KA unit that is three in one - immersion blender, small processor and a whisk (I’ve never used that). But the IB and processor get used often, the processor even more so. And also comes with a plastic jar with a lid.

Not sure if they make this model still or not, but I’ve had it for years and love it! It’s one I would replace if needed.

here’s the most recent model of what I have

I have the KA and love it. But in our house, it is only ever referred to as the Food Dremel.
