Thanks to Meathead and all the fantastic advisors on this incredible website for helping to make outdoor cooking such a joy! I have a question about the benefits of using a rotisserie for making poultry (which I have never done). I am now mostly cutting poultry into pieces to control cooking temperatures. But, I'm going to purchase a Hasty Bake grill, and I'm wondering if a rotisserie kit is worth it. I now use a Weber kettle and Traeger pellet grill. Any thoughts on the rotisserie?

Thoughts all positive ... you can't go wrong with a good rotisserie cook for chicken, duck, Cornish hen, or most any other poultry ...

My gas grill came with a rotisserie and I'll admit I didn't use it too much the 1st 6 years or so. I find myself using more in the last year since finding this site. http://dadcooksdinner.com/2009/04/ro...ksdinner.html/
In fact it was this site that led me to amazing ribs with his recommendation of Big Bad Beef Rub. I've done the normal roto cooks, chicken and turkeys and the not so normal. Prime rib roasts to hot dogs. The turkey in the pic was one of my 1at attempts when the grill was fairly new to me 2009. That 15 LB bird put the spit to a test. Note the bend but all turned out well doing slow and low with smoke boxes over the 2 lit burners. The roto dogs are a not so normal use for your rotisserie done about a week ago. Used the back rotisserie burner for that cook. Have fun trying all sorts of things with that attachment.

MIMark - I have a rotisserie that I use with my Komodo Kamado. It's a wonderful tool in my arsenal. A real rotisserie gives food a flavor that is unattainable using any other method. I've used my spinner for poultry, beef, pork, etc. don't limit your thinking to just spinning fowl. I'd recommend a rotisserie to anyone contemplating one. They really expand your culinary horizons.
Here's to great cooks and even better memories with family and friends!

Other useful bits...
KitchenAid 7-qt Pro Line stand mixer
A Black & Decker food processor that I can't seem to murder
A couple of immersion blenders, one a "consumer" model & the other a "high end" Italian thing. Yes, the Italian one is a bit better, but only marginally
Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus 8-qt + accessories like egg-bite & egg holders
All-Clad pots & pans, along with some cast iron...everything from 7" Skookie pans to 8.5qt Dutch ovens
Weber GBS griddle, pizza stone, and wok
Knives range from Mercer to F. Dick to "You spent how much for one knife? One knife?!" LOL
Agreed, get it. My grill came with one...and I used for the usual fare...poultry. Great.
Then I tried some smaller pork butts on there. That turned out great as well...best sliders EVER.
As mine will support 20 pounds. O_o I decided to get creative...I took a bunch of sliced marinated pork and slid it on the spit. Instant horizontal shawarma! ;-) Yay, now I can have super tacos al pastor and don't need to spend another $$$ on a dedicated shawarma machine. FTW!
