As per usual, I'm here with another weird topic. I am particular about cooking with precision when it comes to measuring stuff. I've been frustrated at times with my Pyrex measuring set and I've found myself using canning jars more and more lately.

2 cups of water, ready for rice
The Ball jars I use are spot-on in their measure. I find it easy to mise en place with larger cooks with a few canning jars around, particularly when I need a lot of liquids like stock or milk. A canning funnel is useful for adding dry ingredients to a jar. Prepping in advance of a long or complicated cook is easier, as I can just pop a lid on and I'm ready to go.
Am I alone here?
