Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Zwilling/Henckels chefs knife, $90 retail: $2.
Calphalon 2.5 qt sauce pan (old style, heavy bottom) with steamer insert, $130 retail: $8
Unknown brand sauce pan, but it’s that hard anodized stuff EDIT: Calphalon, retail $70: $5
KitchenAid blender, older, manual, with heavy motor, $130 retail: $16
And the piece de resistance, ALL CLAD COPPER CORE 4 QT SAUCE PAN, retail $400: $14!
Of course that’s against retail, and nobody pays retail, but still. Not bad. Even figuring used. The knife, and the Calphalon and AllClad, will never wear out. The hard anodized saucepan is starting to show some wear, but it’s still good. The blender, well I don’t really need it but it’s always nice to have a heavy blender.
That. Is. Awesome! Great score. We bought a set of d5 All Clad pots and pans with wedding gift money 14 years ago and it is awesome stuff. Like you say, I don’t foresee ever having to buy replacements.
Great garage sale score. I missed on one recently that still hurts.
I had a box full of italian fido jars that ended up costing about 2$. Also had a blender sitting beside it, I took the box out to the sale counter and on my way back to the blender another dude was walking out with it.
MAK 2 Star pellet

This sale was a pain in the buttinski. They were letting people in one at a time, it was maybe 15 at a time max. But there was a huge line, and lots of desirable stuff that didn’t interest me. It probably wouldn’t have lasted.

That is great.
I worked at an estate/auction business, and never got a deal that good. Trust me, I was looking because I was the one shooting images for the web page.
We didn't have a line system for off-site pick-up and it was pretty much chaos and thievery.

Just as further discussion, of houses and sales and stuff:
This is near Nuangola Lake; it’s on a series of smaller lakes that lead to the main lake, which isn’t large enough for larger craft but you can use up to 10hp. It’s a bass/crappie/bluegill lake with good ice fishing.
Anyhow. As I pulled up and saw the location, I thought, “Man, it is absolutely beautiful here!”
And after I stood outside for about 5 minutes, I thought, “I could never live here.” Because, see in the Google Maps image? Interstate 81 is less than a quarter mile away, and the noise from the cars and trucks is just insane!
Seems like we always live close to a highway. When it turns cool, the wind shifts and we hear the traffic from the interstate. It was really bad in Arlington, Tx.
Forget everything you think you know about real estate. It doesn't seem to matter where or what anymore, it sells. House down the road loaded up in every room with boxes up to the ceiling including the garage. The house got into a bidding war. So much for staging. New house built across from a lumber yard storage area and a tire shop and not talking about an average neighborhood house. Just shy of a million and it sold fast. I don get it.
Of all the day trips the wife and I take estate sales are my favorite. You literally never know what you will find at almost give away prices. They’re so much better than garage sales. You did extremely well. Being an intelligent and informed buyer you knew what you were looking at and what a bargain they were. The average guy I see there is saying something like , Mom had one of those, he hasn’t a clue. An old friend who is a retired college professor makes a very nice income buying high end women’s clothing at estate sales and reselling them. She kept telling me they were almost giving away expensive men’s clothing. She said she would prove it so I gave her my sport coat size. Three weeks later I get a large box from UPS. There were 4 camel hair sport coats, two were tailor made, and one beautiful leather bomber jacket, I owed her $25.00.
I could probably make a decent side gig buying up the gas grills I see, cleaning them up, and reselling them. But I don’t have enough ambition, that is too much like work!
