Review links to Amazon which offers G & F TOP 100% Premium GRAIN LEATHER gloves. Review states these are "Ranked #1 by Cook's Illustrated." Not the case. What I'm I missing hub?

It appears the Stephen Raichlen model is the one CI is recommending. But he doesn't make gloves. He has someone make them and put his name on them. These two appear to be very similar if not identical. The one I recommended may in fact be the company that makes the SR gloves. Hard to tell.

I got to be honest, I didn't care for these gloves. Not sure if I ended up with a bad pair, but they fell apart after a few sessions. Moved a log real fast and they melted...just didn't hold up for me.

I've used Nomex lined Welders' Gauntlets for years and years. They are ruggedly constructed, well insulated, and they last forever. The price is right at about $20 a pair. The pair I currently use I've had for a little over 5 years.
