Finally I am free of the tyranny of the Kitchen Aid. No more shall stuffing sausages make me want to throw the whole bloody mess through a wall. Never again shall my wife and small neighborhood children quail in terror of the madman in the kitchen. Nope, it's all smooth sailing from here, yessiree, Bob.

7 liter capacity, so it should fit a 5 lb. batch easy, 4 horn sizes, so I can make everything from snack sticks to summer sausage. It's got plastic dies for "doughnut", so I can make... churros, I guess?

It's just nice knowing I can make some recipes and ideas I've been wanting to do for ages but been putting off because casing with the KA is such a PITA.

I've got a hank of casings in the fridge, but at least I get to giggle about "prelubed", because I'm basically 12.

Nice! I agree on the hatred for the KA. I have a meat grinder but not a stuffer yet. You will have to give us a review.

meatyourmaker.com has their 5 lb. stuffer on sale for $128 + whatever for shipping. If I'd known that before today, I'd probably have bought that. Not worth me returning this one, but is a somewhat better design.

The big challenge for me is space…the thing is large and hard to hide!

Maybe if I'm feeling spry I'll try to crank out a small batch of something easy tomorrow.

It was $120, and I think it was 10% off. Thing is, you can find this exact same stuffer all over amazon with different branding at different prices. I saw the exact same thing for $160 and as low as $104(that sold out before I could checkout).

You’re gonna love this! My 5 lb stuffer was a game changer over the KA.

You are gonna love the stuffer, as others have said. It’s a game changer! And will definitely have you making bloody sausage that you will throw over the wall because you are making so much since it’s so easy to do now!

        have fun!

STEbbq Everything is good. Just tooo busy with life lately. Hopefully things quiet down soon so I can get back here more.
            Thanks for asking.

I keep eyeing the KA stuffer.....but I am also picking up on that the KA stuffer works the same way cutting your grass with scissors works.

As a grinder the KA attachment is fine, works great. As a sausage stuffer, you'd be better served doing something more fun and productive, like repeatedly punching yourself in the groin, or staring at the sun.

Got a chance to bang out a batch of Argentinian-style chorizo the other night.

Initial thoughts: It is 100,000,000-bazillion-quintillion times better than the KA. It will need to get clamped to the bench, But that's not a problem. It's also going to take some practice to get an even stuff, but clamping it down should help there. I'm 100% glad I bought this, should have done it years ago.

The only downside is the design of the canister results in about 8 oz. of waste, or at least farce that ain't going in a casing.

Overall verdict? The MEAT! stuffer is a better design, but this is fine. If you're abusing yourself by using the KA attachment to stuff sausages just stop. For $150 or less you can buy a real stuffer and stop kicking yourself in the nuts. I highly recommend picking one up if you have the means.

I’ll agree on the one person job with these stuffers. So much easier with the consistent pressure, regardless if you stop/start.

mnavarre so that is the accurate set up? I’m sorry…. But that seems off to me. And we used to do 100s of pounds of sausages a week. Maybe we just had a different brand of stuffer.

SheilaAnn Sounds more like mine…the crank is on the back & the tube is on the front if you will. Rather than on the side.
