Thanks all. Finished assembling it yesterday and it wasn't a problem. I plan on burning off manufacturing grease and then cooking something with a lot of drippings to start seasoning those flavor bars this weekend. Thanks for all your tips. I will stop by the hardware store today and root around for many of those things mentioned!

Before you go too crazy buying accessories, please have a look here on this site for tons of reviews and recommendations for such things:
Personally, I'd keep it pretty simple at first.
For instance- A decent pair (or two) of tongs (don't need to be too long for the Spirit)
- A really good pair of gloves (I use welder's leather gloves that are much less expensive than the BBQ specialty gloves)
- A good grill brush (the Weber bamboo brush is awesome)
- A grill topper/basket (prevents little veggies from committing suicide down in the fire)
- Two good thermometers (or one with two probes) ... one for IT of the meat and the other for air temp in the grill.
- A long(ish) spatula (for burgers and for assisting the tongs with awkward meats)
- Lots of aluminum foil (for making smoke pouches, wrapping, etc.)
- And I rarely see this mentioned, but if you're serious about grilling often, an extra propane tank (running out of propane halfway through the cook can be awkward)

Thanks for the advice! I was going to purchase far less, but I see you have suggested things I never would have thought of otherwise (veggie basket). Thanks for the link too!
