Is there anyone out there making after-market grill and smoker covers that can stand up to the elements? Specifically looking for a new cover for my 22.5" Smokey Mountain that won't fall apart after about 18 months like the Weber-provided cover. I don't mind paying a little extra if I don't have to replace it so regularly. Thanks

I have bought Classic Accessories covers for my grill and 18.5 WSM.

I'm not going to say that these are the best out there but they last a few years. They come with 3 year warranties too. What I've noticed is that direct sunlight makes the cover material brittle and it can be prone to ripping. That did happen with my gas grill cover this past year (2 years in) as they sit out back with little to no tree cover. I filed a warranty claim and they sent me a new cover within a week or 2.

I bought one of these for my Broil King Sovereign 90XLS. I didn't get a year out of it here in Florida outside all the time. Ripped and became useless as a grill cover. I've owned this grill for over 5 years and have yet to find a cover that will last more than a year. Needless to say it remains uncovered most of the time but still a great gasser!!
I hope one of the knowledgeable Grill Kings here has some suggestions.

I have this for the Weber Gasser, and another 1 for the 22.5 Kettle. Love the zipper pouch as I can store tongs, welding gloves, and GrillGrates Tool inside.

Brinkmann just filled for Chapter 11, but they still sell their products. They make decent, low cost covers taking away some of the pain of replacement. The Classic covers @josh138 recommends look pretty good.

They are OK. Better than any others that I've had. They get pretty dirty from rain and after a season of Summer sun they start to look pretty worn down.
Likely the radiation from the sun causes them to become very brittle and you just have to be careful pulling them off or they will rip after a year or 2. My WSM cover is pretty tight, especially around the handle that sticks off the cajun bandit door. So I have a feeling it will rip at some point

I live in south California... I've never used a cover.😎
There are advantages to living in the land of high taxes.😡

Weber Kettle, lid gasket, and Smokenator.....Perfection! Weber Smokey Mountain, 22.5", DigiQ, Cajun Bandit Door w/compression latch and door gasket.....Party Perfection! Makers Mark in my hand Ruger SR1911 on my hip
I think I'm going to give http://grillwraps.com a try and see what they can do for my WSM. If it's not too bad I may get them to make one for my kettle and my gas grill. But like broilking4 said, the Florida weather beats up on the standard covers so hopefully these will last.

Well I got my quote, and depending on the material it will be between $289 and $329. Or to put it in terms for my simple mind, the cost of buying 7 or 8 Weber covers on Amazon.

Well I decided to go with the stock Weber cover but this time going to use some of my 303 marine vinyl protectant on it and see if that helps with the longevity.
