I'm making some soup right now and simmering the aromatics for 30 minutes. It occurred to me that it would be pretty cool to have a camera trained on the stovetop. In the past I thought it would be really cool to have a camera in the smoker or BBQ although I don't know how realistic that is given the high heat. But can you imagine being able to visually check in on whatever you have going? Maybe I'll set one up for my stovetop

A friend who is a skilled at home cook posted the product link on Facebook a few weeks ago. Sounds cool but, yeah, I can buy a lot of great beef for $700 and figure out how to film my cooks with a phone or GoPro.
Blink Mini – Compact indoor plug-in smart security camera, 1080p HD video, night vision, motion detection, two-way audio, easy set up, Works with Alexa – 2 cameras (White) https://a.co/d/9ONLCb6
That would work and since this thread popped back up, I now have an extra Blink camera not in use. I haven't thought about needing to do this for a long time, but if I get the itch now I can make it happen.

I ran into the same struggle finding a camera that works well in the kitchen. Ended up reading through https://www.insta360.com/blog/tips/b...e-cameras.html, and it helped me figure out what would actually work with the space and lighting I have. Some of the suggestions there are solid if you're recording while cooking or just want smoother video without setting up a whole studio.
