    Rib racks?

My family is growing, and my smoker is not, so I need to find a way of adding more food to my smoker. I have a Pit Boss Ranch Hand, it has I think, 440 sq. inches of cooking surface. I can put a whole slab of spare ribs on it and nothing else. My family can currently eat though about 90 - 95% of a slab of spare ribs, that will soon be 100%.

Is there a rib rack that can hold 2+ spare ribs? I have been looking on Amazon, and all the ones I've seen look like they can hold 2 racks of baby backs if they are cut in half. Is this the case, or am I just looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about full spare ribs or trimmed spares (aka 'St Louis' ribs)? If talking about trimmed, I would imagine that most racks that can handle back ribs would also work with trimmed spares. I've got the Weber rack, and used it with 3 racks of trimmed spares just last weekend. If you are referring to full, untrimmed spares, yeah, I could see how most racks would be too small.

Yes, I'm talking about the full untrimmed spare ribs. Remove the membrane, and may trim a little fat off if there are some big globs, but that's it.

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Rib Racks. I use 2 so I can hold the whole rack.

Will they fit if you bend each one into a circle and then then use a skewer or something else to hold it together? That is how I use to save space.

I dont know. I've never tried that. Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever even seen that!

Back when I used a Weber 18" Smokey Mountain Cooker, I did this a few times using metal skewers. It works well enough.

The obvious solution is a bigger cooker.

I had one like this and used it with Okie Joe for years. Trick is getting the size you need and enough space under the rack.
Mine had fixed legs with ~7 inches of clearance

I have one and used it 3 times. Mine is fairly stable and I would put 3 racks in it, if I had the room.

        Couple things I noticed:
Getting them out can be problematic.
Getting the bark out intact is even more difficult.
Cleaning mine is a real pita.

I purchased it at Lowe's I think. Maybe Home Depot...
It has heavy gauge wire that's porcelain coated. It's outside right now. I'm looking for a pic.

I have the Nexgrill one in the middle. I guess it was Home Depot...

I have a couple of the older style Webers I’ve used for slab of backs for years to great success putting 3 slabs on a 22 kettle but they are pretty short and don’t hold spares well. I have used them to do 2 racks of spares on a 22 but it’s far from ideal.

            From Ikea:

VARIERA pot lid organizer, stainless steel Space is often wasted by scattered pot lids in drawers or on shelves – and that one lid you are looking for can’t be found. This pot lid organizer keeps them all in place and easy for you to find. Keeps pot lids organized and easy for you to find.

7.99 per set, 2 sets, expandable/collapsible and they work great. I tried 3 or 4 commercial rib racks, none of them worked well - they weren't tall enough (especially for full spares!) nor wide enough. I found my ribs flopped all over and looked like this:
