Just checking to make sure you know that a steel will not sharpen a knife. It will straighten out the edge of a sharp knife, but doesn't really sharpen. You'll want some sharpening stones for that. I'm getting this for Christmas - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...r_1_20&sr=8-20
