    Faux no mo'

Hey friends, I decided to upgrade my faux Cambro with the real deal, haven't been satisfied with my cheap cooler & old sleeping bag approach. This is pretty much their entry-level unit, made of expanded polypropylene, so it is lightweight and should be pretty strong. About the same interior volume as the ice chest I'd been using. No mo' faux!

Easy! Putting right where the cooler was, on the shelves I put up in my garage. Now don't ask me where I'm putting the cooler...

I have the lightweight front loader. It's wonderful and has held up really really well.

I have the smaller front loader, as well. I love it. I bought it transport food but more often use it at home. It sits right near to the BBQ’s 365 days a year.

You probably don't want to use that bag in bear country.

The bag was already retired long ago, never to be used again, so figured I may as well use it for insulation...

I'm with rlozinak. I can see if you need to have a stack of these, as in one of the pictures in the Amazon link Panhead John gave. There, it takes up less space, uniform dimensions, etc. For sticking some pork butts or briskets in, I'll stick with the cooler, and towels in my case. Just bought a second cooler, so when I was competing I could have one for cold and one for hot, but they both have wheels and a handle, which is nice for an old guy like me. Or my wife.

            Nice !

I have been looking,... just have not committed to the final answer. I like the idea of the warmer do-hicky from the Web Restuarant Store but that is an additional 75 bucks.....keeping up with the Pit is not for the feint of heart nor the light wallet

I hear the folks who like portability, which a wheeled & handled cooler definitely wins out on. But I have yet to transport any of my "run products" any further than the dinner table. If I do though, this should be fine, I could put a buncha racks of wrapped ribs in there easy and drive them to wherever.

The cooler & sleeping bag just wasn't holding temp very well, not much better than sitting out on the counter from my measurements. The kitchen oven would be great but it's usually got something else going on when I've got stuff cooking outside. Seemed worth it to me, and we'll see if it's any better-- highly doubt it could be worse.

And I have to say, I'm both impressed and disappointed that nobody "went there" with some kind of mo' faux joke...!! Stay classy y'all.

I bought this a while back for when I had to transport two pork butts to a picnic and it works very well for holding briskets and the like.
