Aluminum Foil: Should the Shiny Side be Up or Down When Cooking?

    So another myth is busted.

Aluminum foil has a shiny side and a dull side. Many people believe that it matters which side is used up or down. The truth is that it makes no difference at all. The reason the two sides look different is due to the manufacturing process. When the sheets of aluminum are rolled out, the side that comes in contact with the rollers comes out shiny.

To me it's like saying 203 is THE temp you need. Nah. Just cook and leave the old wivestale rules alone says me.

Yeah, sure......................look............I know for a fact that if you use foil to protect yourself from alien thought control from outer space the shiny side out gives you at least 20 more light years of protection. Don't believe me? Panhead John puts the dull side out.............................................I rest my case!

Does it work against the NSA?

That depends on which side of the foil you’re on.

Who is to answer fer the food molecules when they are risin up or down, depending on where the aluniminmum is, and they (the molecules) begin to open their eyes and they see a clear reflection of themselfs and run back to where they come from. Hence, the thermals produced by the over activity can result in an over cookin of said dish. Although, there was no dish mentioned, so not much was said.
Now if the shiny side is away from the said food, let’s call it a casserole so we have said something, then they (the molecules) see this fuzzy image and continue to travel until they bump into the foil. Then they (the molecules) continue to bounce around performing a dance that changes the dynamics of the cookin process lending (that’s a cool word fer cookin) the sitiation to a more even & slower cook.
Keep the Flame & watch ye aluniminimum foil.

I do not understand. Are the molecules micro-managed?

That assumes the molecules have sufficient self awareness.................

Everyone knows it's on the roll like a mobius so there is only one side.

I don’t believe in the dull side so I double layer so the shiny side shows no matter what…it protects better.
